Development, gender and family

Abstract


This article considers the gender mainstreaming in the Post-2015 Development Agenda and in the last family policy proposed by United Nations. First, I present a descriptive study from main documents about social and economic proposals of Development policy, policies of the United Nations. Second, I review the literature on gender mainstreaming and the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Tird, I pay attention to some critics of the notion of gender, the notion of gender that has prevailed in the application of gender in development policies. I conclude from this criticism the possibility to understand that it is necessary and consistent coordinate proposals for promoting women and family as instruments and development goals, simultaneously.
