La svolta narrativa di Piazza Fontana

Abstract

La non-fiction, il racconto in forma narrativa di fatti avvenuti, è un classico del Novecento, e oggi è una realtà affermata nel sistema dei generi letterari. Si può intendere la non-fiction come una modalità del racconto, oppure la si può considerare come un genere letterario, allo stesso titolo del romanzo storico, del giallo, del noir, del romanzo rosa, dalla fantascienza, cioè un genere storicamente determinato, con delle caratteristiche strutturali (formali e tematiche) particolari, con una cronologia determinata e un territorio circoscritto per quanto aperto. Privilegiando questa seconda soluzione, la non-fiction è analizzata come un genere proprio delle scritture contemporanee, che risponde a certi bisogni determinati di un nuovo tipo di lettorato, all’emergere di nuove forme del mercato, in un confronto coi nuovi media, e in relazione con gli eventi che segnano le grandi trasformazioni e i grandi eventi che segnano l’epoca. Quanto alla tradizione italiana, due pubblicazioni uscite a ridosso dell’attentato di Piazza Fontana segnano l’emergere del nuovo genere: La strage di Stato. Controinchiesta, e Le bombe di Milano (1970). Un’analisi strutturale e tematica è messa al servizio di una prima verifica dell’ipotesi “seminale” dell’evento e dei due testi.

The non-fiction narrative, the tale of events, is a classic of the 20th century, and today is an established system of literary genres. One can hear the non-fiction as a narrative mode, or it can be considered as a literary genre, the same title of the historical novel, yellow, noir, romance, science fiction, a genre historically determined, with the structural characteristics (formal and thematic) particulars, with a history and a territory circumscribed as open. Focusing on this second solution, non-fiction is analyzed as a kind of contemporary writings, which responds to certain needs due to a new kind of readership, the emergence of new forms of market, in a confrontation with new media, and in connection with the events that mark the great transformations and the major events that marked the era. As for the Italian tradition, two publications published near the Piazza Fontana bombing marked the emergence of the new genre: The State massacre. Parallel inquiry, and Bombs in Milan (1970). Structural and thematic analysis is put at the service of a first test of the hypothesis "seminal" of the event and of the two texts.
