La teoria politica nell’Arbor scientiae di Ramon Llull

Abstract

All’interno dell’opera Arbor scientiae, redatta tra il 1295 ed il 1296, Ramon Llull dedica due sezioni apposite all'esame delle figure del sovrano e del pontefice. Attraverso l'analisi dell’Arbor imperialis e dell'Arbor apostolicalis, il contributo indaga i caratteri generali, il modus agendi e le finalità rispettivamente del potere temporale e di quello spirituale e la loro interazione al fine di evidenziare la necessaria collaborazione dei due poteri, solitamente antagonisti a quel tempo, proposta da Llull.

Within the work Arbor scientiae, written between 1295 and 1296, Ramon Llull devotes two special sections to the study of the figures of the king and of the pope. Through the analisys of the Arbor imperialis and the Arbor apostolicalis, the article investigates the general nature, the modus agendi and purposes respectively of the temporal power and the spiritual one and their interaction in order to highlight the necessary collaboration of the two powers, usually antagonists at that time, proposed by Llull.
